Ingredients:

2 cups finely crushed cookies (vanilla wafers, shortbread, Oreo, etc.)

1 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup light color corn syrup

2 tablespoons almond liqueur

2 tablespoons melted butter

12 ounces melted baking chocolate (white, semi-sweet, milk, etc.)

Small Valentine’s Day candies

Your choice of filling (strawberries, raspberries, almonds, pecans, coconut, etc.)

Directions:

1. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper and set aside. In a large bowl combine vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, corn syrup, liqueur, melted butter, and fillings of choice. If the mixture is sticky, cover and chill about one hour or until easy to handle.

2. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Dip the balls into melted chocolate and let the excess drip back into the bowl or pan. Place on the prepared cookie sheet and garnish as desired with candies. Let stand until the chocolate is set. Store truffles covered in the refrigerator.

Your staff will appreciate the break and the chance to let their personalities shine through their delectable desserts as well as the break from the demands of the day. Clients can also partake in the spoils of Valentine’s Day sweets and feel the love!!
