Hello, my name is Regina. I am a mom, wife, believer in Christ, Cosmetic Scientific Analyst/Writer and esthetician. I can’t believe all the many hats I wear and even more I couldn’t imagine wearing them without God’s guidance. In 2002 God showed me my ministry as an esthetician. I didn’t know all of the details, but as time passed, I began to gain more clarity on His assignment for my life.

In 2004 I enrolled in esthetics school and began my esthetics journey; after I completed the program, an emotional roller coaster ensued that seemed like it had no end. There were highs and lows, twist and turns, ideas that failed, consistency that seemed unattainable, tears, and disappointment as I navigated the professional terrain of esthetics. I always felt like I was doing the work God had instructed me to do but it often seemed like the fruits of my labor were absent. There were ALWAYS sign post that let me know I was on the right track…. thank you, Holy Spirit but it was so hard.

In 2012 I started this platform as a creative and emotional outlet. In 2016 I partnered with a yoga studio and began hosting facial pop-ups. Eventually I opened my very own space. I wish I could say the rest is history but oh no…….life beat me up a little more both personally and professionally. I know today that God was strengthening my spiritual muscles and helping me gain some much-needed clarity.

In 2020 during much a time of reflection it dawned on me that even though God was in my life I had not given Him full control over my business. I decided in that moment to give my studio and my career back to its rightful owner…. GOD. From the moment I made that decision things have not been the same. A huge burden was lifted off my shoulders and more importantly my MIND. I wake up each day on fire with PURPOSE and direction it is REMARKABLE.

When I began my career, I was uncertain of the steps to take to become a beauty professional and knew nothing about the resources available to me.  I spent countless hours digging for information and reaching out to individuals who I thought could help me. While I appreciate the help that many well-intentioned professionals offered me, not one of them talked about God and His place in my journey.

Today, as I continue on my personal and professional journey God is at the forefront. My struggles and daily comings and goings of life have motivated me to write and share my perspective with other estheticians.  The goal of BYM is to point estheticians back to Christ as they develop personally and professionally. As I have watched the esthetics industry grow over the last 15+ yrs. I am amazed by all the talent I see swirling around the industry, but I also see a hole that many estheticians are trying to fill alone and in the absence of GOD. I hope this platform inspires other professionals with a heart for esthetics to walk in their ministry and build community with others. I personally have a heart for listening, talking, and helping others walk in their careers with purpose.
