Devotion: Choosing Wise Counsel for your Beauty Biz

Scripture: Proverbs 24: 5-6 NLT

The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers.

Proverbs 24: 5-6 makes it very clear that as Christians we should seek guidance in all aspects of our lives. This also includes our careers as beauty professionals. One of the key words from today’s scripture is “wise”. To be clear the definition of wise means having or showing experience, knowledge, and good judgement. By this criterion when seeking counsel, we should seek guidance from individual’s that have experience, knowledge, and good judgement. This means practicing discernment when making decisions about who you choose to work with to help your business grow. One of the first things to remember is that you will need help, you cannot do everything on your own. Second, God will provide everything you need to get the job done. Third, not everyone has the experience, knowledge, or judgement to help grow and prosper Gods vision for your beauty business. It is important to pray before making any deals. Phillipians 4:6 reminds us not to be anxious about anything, but to pray and let our requests be made known to God. As you allow Gods purpose for your beauty business to penetrate your heart, remember to choose the individuals you seek mentorship and guidance from wisely.

Prayer for the Day

Lord, as my business grows, help me to choose godly counsel. Help me to pause and pray before making any decisions. Direct me towards individuals that will help me accomplish Your will for the business. Help me to trust You and your purpose. Amen
