So I am planning on opening a new studio (Hooray!) Ambiance will be a huge part of the experience for my guest. I imagine a small studio boutique that is indicative of my Etsy/ Anthropolgie/ Urban Outfitters & Target style. While the traditional spa setting is for some folks it is definitely not for me. The birth of the boutique hotel has given way to many new ideas when it comes to spa design it is the design inspiration for my latest project . Color, statement pieces and lighting are key characteristics of the boutique hotel so if you are feeling inspired by boutique hotels try incorporating these elements into your space to create signature ambiance for your space.
Color

If you are trying to reflect a studio boutique think sleek, clean and polished. The colors you choose do not have to necessarily be bold and daring you can use flowers, paint or furnishings that compliment your main color selection to bring out daring, contemporary or modern design elements.
Statement Pieces
Incorporate interesting vases, floral arrangements, paintings, and furnishings to give your studio a distinct look and professional feeling.
Lighting

There are so many unique lighting fixtures that can add the right element of design for your space. Consider light fixtures that accent your current design or add a unique touch to your space.
So where can you find unique items for your studio space try consignment shops, Target, Ikea, Home Goods, Marshalls or TJ Max. Local specialty shops are my personal favorite. Do you have a great place in your area that you go to for unique design elements? Did you find a unique piece for your studio spa that gives it a nice boutique touch? Tell me about it here….
Beautifully Yours,
