MMMMM……the DOPENESS Alissa Jean Montaie brought our way this year made us do a double take like 5 times!  The esthetician, lash artist, flight attendant, stylist and #DOPE ASS BEAUTY BOSS  just wrapped up an interview with BYM appearing later this month and is one hell of a women to watch. A natural born  beauty bad ass Montaie walks to the beat of her own drum and is not making any apologies for it. She is canvassing the world as a lash artist and BEAUTY BOSS; sneak peek into 2017 when Montaie has plans for her own line of sultry lashes. Montaie is disruting the industry with her outright persuasion to other beauty professionals to walk in their #femboss power. She is leading the way in the beauty industry across social channels and bomb ass work ethic. She is elevating and educating herself to be all she can be while keeping it real along the way; get to know her Alissa Jean Montae aka Grunge Vogue.

ALRIGHT NOW!! 2016 finally brought some man power in our offices and I was totally digging it….I knew there were some fierce men holding it down in this industry and Gregory Dylan brought it home this year. The 20 year beauty vet has been disrupting the YouTube scene for the past few years with views into the millions covering everything from rosacea Do’s and Don’ts to Quick and Easy Beauty Hacks for consumers. Nearly 20 years after launching his career in beauty, Gregory has returned to his roots with his latest endeavor, Gregory Dylan Skincare & Beauty by retuning to the facial treatment room and bringing two decades of skincare know-how to his Los Angeles clientele. Dylan is on the scene and has been featured on Refinery 29, Charlottes Book, Bravo and Bustle as a beauty and lifestyle expert, 2016 was his YEAR fo shizzle!

Our last beauty bad ass of the year is Brittany Brown. Brown is a relative newbie on the scene but homegirl was definitely on the  come up in 2016! Brown made as a bad ass beauty history as an event slayer with her inaugural event Project Beauty. The Steiner grad broke ground with her premiere event in August 2016 in Washington D.C. and the event brought out astonishing numbers and brought together an A-list panel of guest including Lindsey Day-Founder of CRWN Mag, Kitiya King-Founder of Mischo Beauty, and Beauty & Lifestyle Blogger Ty Alexander.

In addition to being a licensed esthetician Brown is also the creator of her own product line Monee skincare. The line has been well received by consumers and even Amanda Jo aka the Organic Bunny had fab things to say about the line.   Brown is keeping things moving into 2017 with the second annual Project Beauty Expo and even more events for consumers. In November she hosted an intimate Beauty+Wellness Chat and collaborated with lipstick bad ass Axiology who provided non toxic lipstick for attendees. This woman is causing major disruptions and it seems like there is more coming our way in 2017…LOOK OUT!
